Born in a family of singers , Maria Todaro has since her youngest age,
been surrounded by music an arts. At 4 she started ballet, tap dance,
Flamenco and has lately distinguish herself in the Martial art of Kung
Fu  attaining her brown belt.
She studied Piano at " L'Ecole Normale Superieure de Musique de
Paris"( ENMP) and obtained her teaching degree with the highest
honors.
She began vocal and interpretive studies the same year and received
the
Prix d'Excellence" in 1994. To complete her musical training she
studied orchestra conducting under Martin Lebel and Scott Sandmeier
at the "Conservatoire du 15eme arrondissement de Paris" and received
the second prize of conducting the next year. In the same moment, she
created 2 choirs in Paris suburbs " Arteodor" and " la Carnelloise"
which reached 80 members. she has also started one choir In
Manhattan since 2000 and a second one since  the beginning of 2006.
Maria  also graduated from the Action Film Academy in 2006 .

She made her operatic debut as Miss Helen in Lakme at the
Sebastopol of Lille( France) and Zerlina in Don Giovanni and is
acclaimed as a wonderful singing actress . She sung Rosina in Il
Barbiere di Siviglia, Angelina in Cenerentola, Helena in Donna del
Lago, Villiers le bel, Vaureal, Versailles,( France), Romeo in Capuletti e
i Montecchi, Magdalena in Rigoletto,  Cleopatra in Giulio Cesare ,
Edwige in Rodelina, the 3 heroines in Les contes d'Hoffmann, Carmen
in Carmen, Musetta  in La Boheme,  at il Teatro Municipale di
Aggrigento ( Sicily), Lisa in Das Land der Lachelns  and Giuditta in
Giuditta ( le Havre, France)  , Dorabella in Cosi fan Tutte, Cleopatra in
Giulio Cesare and . Valencienne in Merry Widow in San Antonio.
She created the role of Elvire in the world premiere of Eric Perre's m'as
tu vu? at the Theatre Traversiere ( Paris France). Maria made her
debut in South America in 1999 in Sao Paulo,Brazil, in the role of the
Countess de Boissy in Lo Schiavo by Brazilian composer Carlos
Gomes. Her performance was unaimously praised by the Brasilian
press in Rio de Janeiro, Bel horizonte, Belem and the capital of Brasilia.
she has, in February/March 2008,  performed the role of Rosina   in
“Barber of Seville” at the Bob Jones Festival, SC.

From 1995 to 2001 Ms. Todaro concert career as both singer an
accompanist flourished in France and abroad. She has sung the
leading soprano roles in Oratorios such as the Messiah by Handel at
the Cathedral Saint Louis in Versailles,  Joan of Arc (Rossini) ,the Bach
Magnificat, the Pergolesi Stabat Mater and Salve Regina, Gounod's
Sainte Cecile Mass, Orff's Carmina Burana, the Vivaldi Gloria, The
Requiem of Faure, Mozart and Andrew Lloyd Weber, Beethoven's
Fantaisie Choral and 9th symphonie, at the  prestigious Church des
invalides ( Paris, France) and Church Saint Dominique( Paris , France),
she also sung La Cantate pour la Paix by Bernard Lallement under the
composer himself for UNESCO and imaginee by Georges Auric. Many
Paris Theaters enjoyed her one woman show KILUNISAN, created and
directed by herself, in which she sings 12 differents operatic arias from
such diverse composers as Mozart an Berstein. Maria has also sing at
the festivals of Baalbeck( Lebanon), Vaison-la-Romaine ( France) ,
Portival in Anvers( Belgium) and the opening recital of the 2002
Wratislavia Cantans Festival ( Poland).
Maria Todaro made her debut in the United States in two recitals for the
TODI Music Festival in Portsmouth, Virginia. She also sung concerts
and recitals in New York, Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Memphis,
Tenessee.

As a recording artist, she can be heard on the album:" Echoes From
Earth", for Sony records ( June 2001). Maria is in the process of
completing two albums ; one of  semi-classical songs  composed
especially  for her by French composer Nicolas Mingo.  Another one ,
more popular, composed by Randy Fredryx .

her upcoming engagements and projects  include the creation o the
role of  Milady  in " Les 3 mousquetaires", a the role is especially written
for her by composer Mitchell Bach,  descendant of  J.S . Bach. she is  
in the process of writing another explosive show with another  
performers, the group’s name is “ Divas Unleashed”. .
